SKF (UK) has named HAYLEY DEXIS UK as its first Sustainability Partner for the UK, with the aim of helping industrial customers cut waste, reduce energy use and improve equipment reliability. The programme reflects sustainability becoming a working criterion in how industrial buyers choose technical suppliers.
SKF is a Gothenburg-headquartered bearing and rotating equipment group listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, and its annual sales reached SEK 91.6 billion ($9.3 billion, €8.0 billion) in 2025. HAYLEY DEXIS is a Halesowen-based industrial supply specialist founded in 1976, with more than 50 UK branches, around 1,200 employees and turnover above £350 million, and it forms part of the DEXIS Europe network.
The structural driver is the growing weight of sustainability in industrial procurement decisions. As buyers ask suppliers to show how their products reduce emissions and waste, distributors that can back that case with technical evidence gain an advantage, which is the position the partnership is designed to strengthen for HAYLEY DEXIS.
SKF says its purpose centres on rethinking rotation for a better tomorrow through clean technologies, reduced friction and circular solutions, and it relies on distribution partners to carry those solutions to customers. The partnership pairs SKF technologies with HAYLEY DEXIS's knowledge of how customers use equipment in practice.
Three examples anchor the programme. Condition monitoring helps customers plan outages and avoid unplanned downtime, bearing remanufacturing brings circularity into inventory, and optimised lubrication reduces both equipment stress and energy consumption.
For HAYLEY DEXIS, the programme is a route to stand out as a technical solutions provider, deepen customer relationships and reach new markets. For SKF, it is a way to support customers on the path towards a low-carbon future and their net-zero goals.
For the sector, the appointment shows industrial manufacturers building sustainability credentials into their distribution channels, turning efficiency and circularity measures into something distributors can sell on technical merit.
