ShinWon Corporation, a South Korea-based global apparel manufacturer with factories across Asia and Latin America, has released its second Sustainability Report outlining its environmental and social measures, with a focus on green industry activity across its supply chain.

The company operates 15 entities in 10 countries and employs more than 30,000 people.

The report highlights actions under its environmental pillar, including wider use of renewable energy and steps to reduce resource consumption. Its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Fashion Stitch Josua, secured LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council in 2024.

The company has expanded solar power systems and upgraded water-treatment technology across sites in Vietnam, Guatemala and Indonesia. It has also introduced more efficient washing processes to reduce resource use in multiple facilities.

ShinWon reported that it is embedding social measures across its network. Annual labour and human rights audits are now standard for all overseas manufacturing sites. These reviews identify priority risks, followed by technical support to 14 partner factories to help improve worker welfare. The company stated that worker well-being and expanded collaboration with suppliers form a central part of its approach.

On governance, ShinWon noted that greenhouse gas reduction, energy transition plans and climate-risk considerations are reviewed by its ESG Committee ahead of submission to the Board. These measures are designed to formalise oversight and integrate environmental topics into strategic decision-making.

Chief Executive Officer JJ Park said the company aims to strengthen the environmental performance of its production base and contribute to what it describes as a more responsible manufacturing model under the banner “Won Fashion, One Impact”.
