MCR Group has been named winner of the Green Financial & Professional Services Award at the Green Awards 2026, recognised for a sustainability programme that has set a standout benchmark for what genuine ESG excellence looks like in professional services, combining strong governance, rigorous measurement, and a proprietary framework that extends its environmental impact well beyond the organisation itself.

The award, announced on 24 February 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, reflects a sustainable business that has made sustainability central to how it delivers services across cleaning, security, engineering, and professional management, guided by the ÍON framework and underpinned by ISO standards and EcoVadis certification.

Judges were unambiguous in their assessment. "MCR Group demonstrated how strong governance, clear strategy, and rigorous measurement can turn sustainability into a genuine business differentiator. The scale of impact was exceptional, from significant reductions in energy and water use to near-total EV conversion of the Dublin fleet and strong performance across transport and waste. Most impressive was the adoption of ÍON practices across more than 95% of clients, showing influence and impact well beyond the organisation itself," the panel stated.

The Green Financial & Professional Services Award recognises organisations in Ireland's financial and professional services sector that can demonstrate sustainability embedded as a genuine business strategy, backed by measurable environmental outcomes, strong governance, and the capacity to influence sustainability practice across their client base.

As the Green Awards near their two-decade milestone, MCR Group joins a cohort of green awards winners demonstrating that the professional services sector has a critical role to play in Ireland's broader sustainability transition, not just through its own operations but through the influence it can bring to bear on the organisations it serves.
