Irish heating and plumbing products manufacturer Instantor has committed to Accelerate, The Business Pact for Climate and Nature, joining a growing cohort of Irish businesses working toward a climate-neutral, fair, and nature-positive future through Business in the Community Ireland.

As reported by Irish Manufacturing, the Accelerate Pact builds on BITCI's Low Carbon Pledge and supports participating businesses in developing Climate Transition Plans aligned with net zero goals. BITCI has guided business sustainability programmes for 25 years, working across the Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance landscape to advance responsible business practices across Ireland.

Deirdre Byrne, Divisional ESG and Certifications Manager at Instantor, said: "By signing Accelerate, The Business Pact for Climate and Nature, we are taking an important step forward in our sustainability journey at Instantor. By collaborating with like-minded organisations through BITCI's Accelerate Pact, we are not only holding ourselves accountable to reaching our sustainability targets, but also contributing to a broader movement towards a more sustainable and resilient future for all."

Tomás Sercovich, CEO of Business in the Community Ireland, said Instantor's participation would benefit other member companies through the sharing of best practice and insights, adding that collective action "leads to improved innovation and expedited action both within companies and across their respective supply chains."

Instantor invented and patented the first brass compression fitting in 1926 and celebrates its centenary in 2026. As a market leader in press solutions for the heating and plumbing sector, the company said committing to the Accelerate Pact positions it for long-term resilience, stakeholder trust, and sustainable growth alongside its core commercial strategy.

The signing reinforces a broader shift across Irish manufacturing, where mid-sized firms are increasingly formalising sustainability commitments through structured, externally validated frameworks as supply chain and procurement expectations tighten.
