The Green Awards UK has announced its 2026 shortlist, naming finalists across 20 categories ahead of the awards ceremony on 25 September 2026 at the Park Plaza London Riverbank, with just under two months remaining until winners are revealed before an audience of sustainability leaders and business executives from across the UK.

The shortlist draws from a wide cross-section of British industry, with finalists spanning healthcare, construction, energy, logistics, food and beverage, manufacturing, technology, and financial services. Organisations named include AstraZeneca, Aviva, B&Q, KPMG, easyJet, Transport for London, BAM UK & Ireland, GKN Aerospace, and InstaVolt, alongside a strong contingent of small and micro enterprises demonstrating that meaningful environmental leadership is not the exclusive domain of large corporations.

Entries were assessed by an independent judging panel of recognised sustainability experts coordinated by Martin Baxter, Deputy CEO of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals. The panel includes senior figures from BSI, the Carbon Trust, Bodycote, Greenhouse Communications, Winvic, Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure, and Bond Bryan, each bound by strict confidentiality agreements and conflict of interest protocols to ensure impartiality throughout the evaluation process.

The 2026 programme spans categories recognising green transformation, ESG performance, waste management excellence, sustainable water and energy achievement, green collaboration, and sector-specific distinctions across construction, technology, ICT, tourism, and more. The Green Business of the Year and Green Leader awards will be announced exclusively on the night.
