Environmental Protection Agency
The Environmental Protection Agency is at the front line of environmental protection and policing. We ensure that Ireland's environment is protected, and we monitor changes in environmental trends to detect early warning signs of neglect or deterioration. Protecting our environment is a huge responsibility, and we work with a number of organisations that carry out specific environmental functions.
As of August 2014, we are also responsible for ensuring that the people of Ireland are protected from the harmful effects of radiation. The EPA is an independent public body established under the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992. The other main instruments from which we derive our mandate are the Waste Management Act, 1996, and the Protection of the Environment Act, 2003 and Radiological Protection (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014.

While you’ve probably heard of MINI already, what you might not know is that we’re much more than the little British car with a big personality. We’ve changed over the years. 2019 marks the 60th anniversary of MINI. Following its groundbreaking launch in 1959, MINI established itself as the definitive go to small car. For 60 years, the MINI has made the revolutionary routine: it has broken all the old rules and set new standards. Its unmistakable design and iconic gokart feeling are practically the only traditions it won’t break with. For 2019, the brand is once again taking a leap forward with the introduction of the MINI Electric, set for worldwide market launch in March 2020.

Our promise: “Proud of Recycling”
Down2Earth Materials have been promoting sustainable foodservice packaging in the Irish market since 2009, and it’s astonishing to see how much has changed since then.
As we move forward into the next decade we are proud to present our range of foodservice items covering reusable, recyclable or compostable products and introduce our own brand Earthpak designed with a circular approach and to sit alongside the extensive range of products and brands that we offer.
We are told life begins at 40, and our first Earthpak product is a full recyclable cup and lid made with 40% recycled content, launching this spring with our launch partners nationwide.
Having worked closely with the composting industry since our humble beginnings in 2009 we are delighted to announce our pearl white and chestnut brown cups as well as our soup containers have been one of the first set of products to pass the new Cré compostable scheme, designed to give Irish users confidence that a product is certified compostable and suitable for disposal in their food waste bin. You will see the logo rolling out across a wide range of our compostable packaging later this year!
A tailored and personal approach is something we are proud to offer, so please get in touch with us for any sustainable foodservice packaging needs.
